Anna Kendrick gets in a big group selfie with some fans while arriving at the premiere for her new movie, Alice, Darling, during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on Sunday night (September 11) in Toronto, Canada.

The 37-year-old actress joined co-stars Kaniethiio Horn and Charlie Carrick on the red carpet with director Mary Nighy.

Just hours before, Anna revealed to fans on Instagram that she had to be rescued by a handful of firefighters after getting stuck in an elevator with her team.

“I got in the wrong elevator at the wrong time,” Anna joked with People about the experience.

“I got out,” she added. “Some lovely Canadian firefighters had me crawl out the top of the hatch…it was, like, seven of us in an elevator just waiting to be rescued by firefighters. It was so absurd that it would happen on a film press tour that it just seemed so immediately comical.”

Harry Styles rocks a full on green look at the premiere of My Policeman during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at Princess of Wales Theatre on Sunday (September 11) in Toronto, Canada.

The 28-year-old musician and actor joined co-stars Emma Corrin, David Dawson, and Rupert Everett on the red carpet after taking part in a press conference just hours earlier.

Director Michael Grandage and producers Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers were also at the event.

Here’s the summary for My Policeman: Tom, a policeman in 1950s Britain, falls in love with a schoolteacher on the Brighton coast. However, he soon begins a passionate same-sex affair with a museum curator, in spite of homosexuality being illegal.

My Policeman is set to premiere on October 21 – watch the trailer here!

Natalie Portman keeps close to husband Benjamin Millepied at the premiere of Carmen during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Sunday (September 11) in Toronto, Canada.

The married couple were joined by the cast of the movie, Melissa Barrera, Paul Mescal and Rossy de Palma on the red carpet.

The flick is inspired by the 1875 opera of the same name, and is a bold and adventurous modern-day love story set in the Sonoran Desert spanning the Mexico–United States border.

To escape a murderous cartel, the captivating young Carmen (Barrera) is northbound, her route traversing an area patrolled by the US government and fanatical Americans who hunt people for sport. There, she links up with Aiden (Mescal), and the two make a run for it to Los Angeles.

Brendan Fraser gets a hug from Sadie Sink at the premiere of The Whale during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival held at Royal Alexandra Theatre on Sunday (September 11) in Toronto, Canada.

The two actors were joined at the premiere of their new movie by co-star Ty Simpkins, as well as director Darren Aronofsky, screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter and producer Jeremy Dawson.

Speaking to press ahead of the premiere, Brendan opened up about his new perspective on his career goals and that The Whale helped put them in place.

“So often, I have just felt like a working actor who was glad to have a job: ‘What do you got? I’ll do it.’ And that’s a different guy than who I am right now,” he shared.

Brendan added, “In recent years, when I was a bit more reticent to step forward — have a life with kids and an oldest son with special needs another kid who’s going to be a senior now and another one who is (learning)to drive and he’s picking up guitar — I think it just gave me a sense of purpose that I don’t know that I would have appreciated as a younger man.”

Kit Harington gets ready to snap a picture with a fan while arriving for the premiere of his new movie, Baby Ruby, during the 2022 Toronto Film Festival at Royal Alexandra Theatre on Friday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The 35-year-old actor joined co-stars Noemie Merlant, Meredith Hagner, and Camila Cano-Flavia on the red carpet, along with director Bess Wohl.

Baby Ruby centers on Jo, a vlogger and influencer, whose life unravels after she becomes a mother.

Bess opened up to Variety about exposing the unsettling side of motherhood in the movie.

“It was really cathartic,” she noted before revealing she was also pregnant with her third child when she wrote this script.

She added, “It did feel really amazing to dive into this nightmare version of the experience. For me, becoming a mother was this complete fracturing of my identity and putting it back together. It’s been really joyful in a lot of ways. I couldn’t have become the person I am without that experience. But to look at the darkest, most twisted version of that good. Because in a way, when you look at it and put it on screen, you don’t have to live it yourself. I hope that [my kids] understand that it’s not about them.”

The 57-year-old actress joined her costars John Boyega, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Makgotso M, Thuso Mbedu, Sivuyile Ngesi, Masali Baduza, Siyamthanda Makakane, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, as well as director Gina Prince-Bythewood at the red carpet event.

Just a few hours earlier, the cast were seen at a Twitter Q&A panel in support of the movie.

Ahead of the screening of the movie, Viola gave an impassioned speech about it, calling it her “magnum opus”.

The picture perfect couple walked the red carpet together at the premiere of The Inspection during the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday (September 8) at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

Also in attendance were cast members Jeremy Pope, McCaul Lombardi, Nicholas Logan, and Aubrey Joseph, as well as writer and director Elegance Bratton, plus producers Effie T. Brown and Chester Algernal Gordon.

The new film, inspired by Bratton’s own life story, follows a man (Pope) who joins the Marine Corps after being thrown out of his mother’s (Union) home at 16 for being gay and living for years in housing precarity.
