Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali are looking sharp on the red carpet at the 2018 Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (November 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Viggo and Mahershala co-star in Green Book, which was directed by Peter Farrelly. The cast won the Ensemble Award during the ceremony, while Peter won the Screenwriter Award.

Green Book follows a working-class Italian-American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.

On her music: “I have this fear living in my body about releasing work,” she says. “I don’t know any artist that doesn’t feel that before they hit the send button.”

Viggo Mortensen looks so handsome while walking the red carpet for the Green Book premiere held during the 2018 Zurich Film Festival on Thursday (September 27) at Kino Corso in Zurich, Switzerland.

The 57-year-old actor was joined by the film’s director Peter Farrelly for the premiere and the festival’s opening ceremony festivities.

The Zurich Film Festival will take place until October 7.

The movie, which hits theaters on November 21, co-stars Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali.

Peter Farrelly directed the film, which is inspired by a true friendship that transcended race, class and the 1962 Mason-Dixon line.

When Tony Lip (Mortensen), a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on “The Green Book” to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger-as well as unexpected humanity and humor-they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.

Viggo Mortensen suits up while walking the carpet at the 2017 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 26) in Hollywood.

The 58-year-old actor was joined at the event by his 29-year-old son Henry.

Viggo is nominated for his second Oscar this evening. He is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his work in the movie Captain Fantastic. He is up against Manchester By the Sea‘s Casey Affleck, Hacksaw Ridge‘s Andrew Garfield, La La Land‘s Ryan Gosling, and Fences‘ Denzel Washington.

Casey Affleck uses his time at the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards to get political.

While accepting the award for Best Male Lead for his role in Manchester by the Sea, the 41-year-old actor slammed Donald Trump‘s administration, calling it “un-American.”

“The policies of this administration are abhorrent and they will not last,” Casey said. “They are un-American.”

Casey was joined at the event by his Manchester co-star Lucas Hedges, director Kenneth Lonergan, and producer Matt Damon who was accompanied by his wife Luciana.

Also spotted at the awards show was Viggo Mortensen and his Captain Fantastic director Matt Ross.
