Paul Bettany Reacts to 'WandaVision' Fan Theories, Reveals Some of Them Are Very Accurate

Paul Bettany is speaking out in response to the fan theories that have been spreading around the internet about WandaVision.

Six out of nine episodes are now streaming on Disney+ and there are still many mysteries left to unlock ahead of the finale.

Paul spoke to Marvel.com for a new interview about the show and how he loves reading the fan theories about what’s to come. He even said that some of the theories have been very accurate!

“I’m loving it. I’m loving it being disseminated to the fans. And I love how frustrated they are of not being able to see it all in one fix. I love reading their theories of what might happen. And some of them are incredibly accurate, actually. I keep thinking, ‘Marvel should give that person a job,’” Paul said.

He continued, “It’s been a whole lot of fun watching them go through this. I mean, I know they’ve been waiting a long time. So, have we. It’s really special to watch it on the platform without my name across the middle of it [on early screeners]. So yeah, it’s been really fun.”

Who Plays Pietro Maximoff? Evan Peters & Aaron Taylor-Johnson Have Both Portrayed Quicksilver

Pietro Maximoff is a huge trending topic right now thanks to the new series WandaVision, which is streaming on Disney+.

WandaVision follows Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, who made her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015′s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Wanda’s twin brother Pietro, as played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in that movie, died at the hands of Ultron and his death has been brought up several times on the new TV series.

Pietro, known as the superhero Quicksilver, was also played by Evan Peters in the X-Men franchise, which was owned by Fox until just a couple years ago when Disney purchased the studio.

Evan played the superhero in 2014′s X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2016′s X-Men: Apocalypse, and most recently in 2019′s X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

'WandaVision' Episode 5: [Spoiler] Makes Shocking Debut in Final Moments!

There was a shocking moment in the final few seconds of WandaVision‘s fifth episode and you can read all of the spoilers right here.

Before reading any further in this post, be warned that you might be spoiled if you haven’t watched the episode yet.

We learned more about the town of Westview and how Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is controlling the minds of all the residents of the town. She also exited the town for the first time to confront the SWORD agents outside of the “hex,” as Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) is calling it, and to tell them to leave her alone.

Throughout the episode, we also saw Wanda and Vision’s kids Billy and Tommy grow up from babies, to five-year-olds, and then to ten-year-olds. The kids asked if she had a brother and she said she did, but he lives far away.

We also found out that just nine days earlier, Wanda stole Vision’s corpse from SWORD headquarters so that she could resurrect him in Westview. Vision (Paul Bettany) started growing more suspicious of Wanda throughout the episode and he learned that she’s controlling everyone’s minds.

'WandaVision' Leaks Are Happening & Fans Want the Spoilers to Stop

Marvel fans who are loving the week-by-week format of WandaVision will want to stay away from reading about the show on social media because there are leaks spreading around for future episodes.

Four out of nine episodes have been released so far on Disney+ and the remaining five episodes will premiere across the next five weeks. The finale will debut on March 5.

Lots of fans are talking about the leaks right now on social media and the general consensus is that they want the spoilers to disappear from their feeds. Many fans are trying to have a spoiler-free viewing experience with WandaVision and they are urging fans not to reshare the leaks.

We won’t be sharing any details on the leaks, but can confirm that one of the leaked clips appears to be a “commercial” that will appear in a future episode.

Beyond the Trailer’s Grace Randolph, who has been covering Marvel and WandaVision extensively, says that this may be the “worst” breach of security for Marvel that she’s ever seen.

Paul Bettany is opening up about what’s to come in the new episodes of WandaVision, and they include a major new character!

While the 49-year-old actor, who plays Vision in the series, didn’t spill the spoiler on who the character is or who the actor is either, he did share that their scenes together are “intense”.

“So many things get leaked, but there’s this thing that has been completely under wrap that happens,” Paul shared on the Lights, Camera, Batstool podcast. “I work with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think people are going to be really excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense.”

Paul also revealed some new tidbits for avid Marvel fans and admitted that he thinks fans’ “minds are going to explode…”

“You can expect those two worlds [the sitcom world and the real world] to have more conflict. I don’t want to give away too much about the future episodes, but I will tell you this, there were more special effects requirements for our TV show than there were for Endgame,” he added.

“I think they’re going to be massively surprised by the end of the show,” Paul says. “I really think people are going to be like, ‘Oh my God!’ and they’re going to look at the MCU in a whole new light and also have a much deeper understanding in what direction it’s moving.”
