Cate Blanchett joins costar Geoffrey Rush and director Shekhar Kapur at a photocall promoting their upcoming film Elizabeth: The Golden Age‘ during day 2 of the 2007 Rome Film Festival on Friday in Rome, Italy.
Bottom line for Elizabeth: Golden Age: “Cate Blanchett is gorgeous, and so is the cinematography, it doesn’t come close to the 1998 originator.”
When recently asked what she looks for in roles, Cate said, “It’s rarely the character actually. It’s the components like who is directing, what other actors are in it. And increasingly with the children (she has two young sons) it’s the timing.”

I mean one minute she’s in the US promoting Elizabeth: The Golden Age, the next in Australia with her theatre directorial debut, now in Rome to promote The Golden Age again. And I heard she’s going to London to promote The Golden Age at LFF.

For a naturally elegant woman, this is an oddly frumpy choice of dress. What’s worse is imagining how much this unattractive sack must have cost.

She has been wearing very loose fitting dresses of late and they do nothing to show off her attractiveness. She looks to have gained weight and may be pregnant. The only pregnant lady who looks to be wearing clothing to flatter is Nicole Ritchie. Heads up ladies! Do not be afraid to show off your bump! Too loose clothes just make you look frumpy! (Cate and Jennifer).

I think the style of the dress is nice, but it’s too saggy, badly constructed. I think there is some speculation, but Blanchett doesn’t follow a mainsteam audience, unlike Jennifer Lopez (thank god) and it’s not massive, massive but there is some speculation.

she is a good actress, but i don’t like her as a person. Now she is famous and people recognize her talente but she became to arrogant and ambicious ( i totally agree when nr 19 says she only made this movie to get another oscar nom.)She thinks she is the best now, and she tries also to be different all the time, that’s why she seems freak and wierd with most of her looks.
