I just love clooney!!!!!!!!!!!!

# 3

I love the ripple affect Angelina and Brad’s work has created to having people thinking of solving problems that affect us internationally and becoming ambassadors. Wonderful job George.

# 4

It’s so cute how he and Brad are such Hollywood buds after Ocean’s 11,12, and 13.

# 5

HE IS NO ANGIE NO ONE WILL LISTEN TO HIM GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

trust him @ 01/29/2008 at 4:33 pm

I trust George Clooney much more then I trust Angie and Brad. I believe everything they do is for press. George seems to really care about people, not just for publicity.

it's about time @ 01/29/2008 at 4:35 pm

Jude – you and I agree on one thing he is no Angie, and I say Thank God. She is a loser and that is why she is being replaced.

King George @ 01/29/2008 at 4:36 pm

Jude – people will listen to him before they will listen to Angie, she is a punch line, she cannot be taken seriously. Her words are all scripted.

you must be kidding @ 01/29/2008 at 4:38 pm

LuckyL – his being an embassador has nothing to do with Angie, he has been involved with these causes for a very long time. He just doesn’t call the press to inform them. Don’t give credit when none is due.

Wow, i never thought i would say this, but he is getting old! Dayum

George Clooney is a great speaker and he truly cares. Unlike ***** girl who cares only about herself.

Jolie has been doing her UN work YEARS long before Brad or George followed the trend. What you just said made me laugh and pity your ignorance.

TiredofthisCrap @ 01/29/2008 at 4:40 pm

Sheesh, why do people even try to compare George Clooney to Angelina Jolie. They are two different people with two different causes and concerns. George Clooney has been actively trying to end the genocide in Darfur. Angelina Jolie brings attention to children in third world countries who need a spokesperson to voice their needs. Actually people do listen to George Clooney, that is why he is being appointed a UN Messenger of Peace.

Can’t we have a Clooney post without mentioing Pitt or Jolie, you don;t see me posting comments about George Clooney in their posts.

Maria (Shorty) @ 01/29/2008 at 4:41 pm

Angie and Brad had nothing to do with George’s charity and volunteering with UN projects. He was doing this years before Angie and Brad. I adore all three of them, but I just had to set the record straight here. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

Now, that being said………didn’t Brad & Angie look drop dead gorgeous and the SAG awards? Looooved them and Looooved that kiss!!

#9, oh goodness gracious, he has said himself he admires their work and the publicity they’ve brought to domestic and global issues (though he specified in his accolades). If he has been involved, that’s even more fantastic. However, they are all Hollywood buds and all admire one another and despite the bickering and nay-sayers here. They will continue to be happy and supportive of one another–AND continue to admire one another’s GENUINE humanitarian work.

Hey fan I don’t care how long Angie has been doing this, George has been involved with these causes long before Angie, check your facts.

Jude – you and I agree on one thing he is no Angie, and I say Thank God. She is a loser and that is why she is being replaced.

Being replaced?? She never held this title.. She’s an ambassador, that’s something different. She also has done more humanitarian work than Clooney. She even give 1/3 of her income to charity.

And I’m pretty sure he just recently became a “messenger of peace” and not even an ambassador.

“Clooney is active in advocating a resolution of the Darfur conflict.[22] His efforts include an episode of Oprah and speaking at the Save Darfur rally in Washington, D.C., on April 30, 2006.

In 2006, he was involved in several events to highlight the issue. In April, he spent ten days in Chad and Sudan with his father to make a film in order to show the dramatic situation of Darfur’s refugees. In September, he spoke in front of the Security Council of the U.N. with Nobel Prize-winner Elie Wiesel to ask the U.N. to find a solution to the conflict and to help the people of Darfur.[23] In December, he made a trip to China and Egypt with Don Cheadle and two Olympic winners to ask both governments to pressure Sudan’s government.[24]

Clooney is involved with Not On Our Watch, an organization that focuses global attention and resources to stop and prevent mass atrocities, along with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Jerry Weintraub.[25] He narrated and was co-executor producer of the documentary “Sand and Sorrow.[26]”

It looks like he starts that all in 2006 and with his CO-STARS and NOT BEFORE that year. Okay thanks.

Either way, Jolie was doing her humanitarian work YEARS before Clooney jumped onto the bandwagon.

I commend THEM ALL for their humanitarian work and NOT BICKERING and ADMIRING one another’s work and being inspired BY ONE ANOTHER.

Clooney only started his humanitarian work in 2006. While Jolie was since 2001.
