OlderMel Gibson Directs The Passion of Britney Spears
Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are reportedly en route to Costa Rica on vacation together.
Britney arrived on time, about five minutes after Mel, and the plane departed at 9:05 a.m, reports ET.
“They’re just going away for a few days to relax,” said a source.
ET spotted them leaving on a private plane to the Central American state early this morning. Sources say that that Mel is taking Britney and her father Jamie for a mini-vacation. They will be guests at Mel‘s home in Costa Rica.
“Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible,” a source said.

ummm…..if this is true, their conversations must be….interesting? okay, that’s all i got for them. i can’t be any nicer then that. let’s face it, she’s a complete dim-witted woman-child with nothing worthwhile in her mentally off head and he seems to be deteriorating from an insightful actor and innovative director to just a plain odd duck. could be a freakish match made in crazy town heaven.

Well, finally, a celebrity who doesn’t just talk about helping Brit out – like Madonna and some other chic did but one who actually reached out to a younger, hurting fellow addict. I hope Mel has some wisdom about addiction and rehab to help out this kid. I think she is ready to take sensible advice even from an old has-been like Gibson. (Don’t worry, he’ll be baaaaack)
Good for them. Mel and Jamie Spears are friends and they both have battled problems with alcohol and recovered. I hope the paps let them have some peace and quiet.
