OlderKate Winslet is a Kindred Spirit
Kate Winslet waves down a cab in the Meatpacking District of New York City on Monday afternoon.
The 33-year-old British actress is featured on the cover of Vanity Fair‘s December issue, where she excitedly shared about her reunion with Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio: “Leo and I were always aware that if we were going to do something together again that there would be a sense of expectation. It was going to have to be the right thing. We could see ourselves playing that married couple. The friendship that we have and the solidity of that was something we would be able to use. Leo and I, you know, are sort of kindred spirits—we’re cut from the same cloth.”
Their new project, Revolutionary Road, is due out in theaters in late December and is directed by Kate‘s husband Sam Mendes.

The Vanity Fair thing wasn’t supposed to look like HER dummies, it was supposed to look like Catherine Deneuve from Belle Du Jor. But you kids today probably dont’ have a clue who that is and you also are probably the type that have only seen Kate in Titanic, so you’re freaking out that she looks different now but Leo looks different too. They’ve grown up. And she is one of the best actresses in hollywood. I wish the media would cover her more instead of trashy, talentles trainwrecks that are taking over for their personal life. Kate has two great roles coming out and she will finally win her much deserved Oscar I bet. Go Kate!
