Cate Blanchett is NIDA Noteworthy

Cate Blanchett hits the red carpet at the NIDA Foundation Trust gala event on Saturday (August 8) in Sydney, Australia.

This year’s gala celebrated the National Institute of Dramatic Art‘s 50th birthday at their Kensington premises.

Cate graduated from NIDA in 1992 and shortly thereafter, joined the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of Caryl Churchill‘s Top Girls. She and her husband, director Andrew Upton, are currently artistic directors of STC.

Jared, you mention everytime you post on Jennifer Anniston that she is 40, guess you dont think it is relevant for Cate Blanchett which is the same age as Jennifer Anniston?

# 6

God, she’s gorgeous!! She does look absolutely stunning for 40! Her hair is beautiful with a complexion untouched by botox, etc. Classiest actress on the planet that’s for sure!

Cause TEEN Aniston acts and dresses like she is Miley Cirrus twin sister. So of course, in other to not put people into confusion, the desperate cougar’s age should be mentioned since she acts, dresses backwards her real age.
.
Lovely Cate doesn’t need that. She is class, elegance, maturity. She doesn’t define herself solely on a body. She is a real woman who commands respect while the other one’s only aim is to trigger horny feelings from juvenile men, like young girls do to test their level of attractiveness.

words cannot express how much I love and admire this woman. She is the epitome of class, elegance, talent, beauty & intelligence. I’m a huge Meryl Streep fan, but she is as good a reincarnation as there is from her generation. Such explosive power & presence she has on screen and limitless range, it’s remarkable! She’s beautiful here! I’m really lovin her hair!

She’s so beautiful all the time … i agree with all of you. She’s one talented and pretty woman in the business.

Love Cate Blanchett. Wonderful actress and classy lady.

KENSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Great actress. With that said, there is nothing cute about her, at least not at this angle

Those camera angles just aren’t flattering..

Smile, you’re in Kensington!

She usually looks elegant but I’m afraid that dress makes her look too dowdy.

Looks beautiful!

I would kill for her skin. She is stunning.

The “dowdiness” is because she’s attending a theatre function, this isn’t a “fashion event”. She’s not there to draw attention so she has to dress down and look more professional, that’s why you’re seeing her wearing a lot more simple black & navy blue dresses.

Cate is so stunning. The best> Gorgeous.

Cate is so stunning ! Gorgeous !

OMG, CATE BLANCHETT IS MY IDOL!!! SHE HAS MY TOTAL & UTTER RESPECT! SHE IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE IF ANGELINA JOLIE, WHICH IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HER. IF YOU’RE AN ACTOR AND SOMEONE ASKS YOU, WHO’S YOUR IDOL, AND U SAY ANGELINA JOLIE… YOU’RE SCREWED. BUT WOMEN LIKE CATE BLANCHETT… MMM MMM MM….. SHE IS A GODDESS IN HER OWN RIGHT. I’VE SPOKE WITH MOVIE INDUSTRY PPL AND THEY WILL NEVER SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN IF YOU MENTION “ANGELINA JOLIE”. BUT YOU MENTION “CATE BLANCHETT” ….THEY BOW DOWN TO YOU.

aaah the GREAT Cate – looking ethereal and every bit the grand dame she is :) gorge! I miss this woman on the silver screen – when is she coming BACK??

somebody mentioned meryl streep above, and I couldn’t agree more. Sure Meryl is a living legend and no one can replace her, but damn! – Cate is up there as the younger generation’s meryl.

and i noticed the mention of Miss Aniston up here also – lol.

she doesn’t have to even be mentioned in the post, but god there’s already 3 comments abt her. you can hate all you want, and call her names all you want, but she definitely doesn’t seem to be irrelevant like so many of you keep saying or asserting over and over (more like wishful thinking ) – otherwise why even mention her at all?

doth protesting too much i see – the intentional maligning of JA is seeming more and more like a campaign taken up by some VERY disgruntled individuals…

this is a CATE post. don’t turn it into anything else…
