OlderCarey Mulligan - BAFTA Awards 2010
Carey Mulligan takes the prize at the Orange British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 21) in London, England.
The 24-year-old actress (in Vionnet) took home the prize for Leading Actress for her work on An Education, beating out Audrey Tautou and Meryl Streep!
Carey‘s aunt, Heulwen Booth, spoke to the BBC and said that she’s so proud of her niece.
“The family were so pleased she’d been nominated to start off with and not having dreamed she that she would ever actually win, but waiting for them to open that envelope and finding out she had actually won – it was unbelievable,” Heulwen said.

Her face is really cute her, being blonde suits her. The dress is amazing on her, now she’s noticeable on the red carpet. And I’m glad that she won :)

Wow that’s a simply incredible dress and she’s such a beautiful, talented girl. She has such poise too, not something you see in young, american actresses, who all slouch. It must be an english thing.

who is she? that’s award of pity was to boost her profile, so the brits could say she beat out meryl streep, & NOT for acting in a movie that no one has seen or heard of.
Best actress of the year by far. She will not win at the Oscars but should.

her dress may be better on older women(meryl streep for example) and hair color is awful! she looks alike mike myers but she’s great in “an education”
