Janet Jackson: New Film Was Therapeutic
Janet Jackson visits BET’s 106 & Park at BET Studios with actor Malik Yoba on Wednesday (March 31) in New York City.
The 43-year-old singer, who was also joined by Blind Side‘s Quinton Aaron, is promoting her new movie Why Did I Get Married Too?, a sequel to Tyler Perry‘s 2007 film.
Janet recalled working on the film while coping with the death of her brother Michael Jackson, who died three days into filming.
“It was very therapeutic, I was able to release in such a way,” Janet told the Press Association. “There were moments when I definitely brought it home, and not really wanting to but you do and then eventually you unwind. It becomes very draining.”

I just love Janet.
She looks great. I really like Janet, she’s made her mistake, but picks herself up and get on with it.
I’m glad she’s back working & great that she’s focusing on her first love, acting. The music can wait. No need to flop again.

Eat a D&*K, or go and jump off the Golden gate whichever comes 1st.
She looks so fierce, love JJ!!
So Coincidentally, now that she has a movie to promote, she has “healed” enough to come out and talk about her brother’s death. So what is she saying that the only way she can turn in a convincing performance is when there is a tragedy in her life. Do we have to wait for another tragedy to get a good performance out of her? If it were Latoya plugging a film, using her brother’s death as motivation, she would be called a media *****. Janet fanatics won’t want to hear this but, who is the media ***** now?
I heard that Janet was speaking to Oprah about her brother’s death. I think it’s great that she’s speaking out. I hope that she participates in the new documenary “Gone Too Soon”. It would be nice if it included some commentary from her.
Great pictures
