Alexander Skarsgard: New 'Melancholia' Poster!

Alexander Skarsgard gets close with Kirsten Dunst in this new poster for their film Melancholia.

The Lars Von Trier-directed flick is now available on VOD and will open in theaters November 11.

Melancholia, like everything von Trier does, is an event. More than that, it’s his finest film for nearly a decade. A crazily bold, visually enthralling, and emotionally seismic drama about the meaning of existence. It’s also, by some way, a funnier and more visceral companion piece to Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life,” writes the Telegraph‘s reviewer.

it was boring

I loved it. Classy movie. Beautiful settings and colour palate. Kirsten Dunst is fantastic in this, and so very beautiful too. I particularly liked the scene at the bar, the limo, and the end of the world. Skars is definitely playing as many different characters as possible, and doing that well too.

I tried to sneak in to see the ending again when I went to the cinema to see Drive in the week; blasted projector broke on the film’s last screening so I couldn’t. It’d haunted me that much.

This movie Not great yastrday my girlfriend give me alot movie so funny glad glad.

alex is enjoying his single life, shes dating jason boesel

I rented it on demand. The first 10-15 minutes are a little boring and reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. However, once it got going, it sucked me right in. I felt bad for Alex’s character & Kirsten did a good job. In fact, the whole cast was great and when it was all over, I was shaken. Great movie but really depressing.

Loved the movie! Kind of slow at the beginning but really good over all!

I’ve watched it twice now and it’s an amazing movie. Not for everyone though.

@JM:
I’m glad it wasn’t just me that came out of the film shaken; there was a crescent moon hanging low in the sky as I drove home after seeing it which made me feel quite uncomfortable. I didn’t find Melancholia depressing though; I thought the end of Justine’s mental journey was quite uplifting. It was like everything fell into place, made sense for her and she was finally at peace.

Wrong pix his nose round not real

i saw in movie he smile like crmi……

Me too I saw she with he dance

I see our glue sniffing troll is back. It’s been very busy the last few days, perhaps it got a weekend pass from the asylum.

I want to see Melancholia on the big screen, but alas, it won’t be showing at a theater near me. So I’ll have to wait for the dvd.
