Melissa McCarthy & Octavia Spencer: Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer attend the Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (February 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Both are nominated for Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Oscars – Octavia for The Help and Melissa for Bridesmaids.

Octavia recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show where she chatted about award season and using triple spanx for red carpets.

“I could not party [one] night because I was being pinched in places that I didn’t know it was possible. I ran into Melissa McCarthy … one of my closest friends. I said, ‘Oh my god Melissa, I’m about to die. My Spanx are killing me.’ She said, ‘I just went to the bathroom and took mine off,” Octavia shared.

FYI: Octavia is wearing a David Meister dress.
