Julia Roberts: Meryl Streep's Daughter in 'August'

The 44-year-old actress will be playing Meryl Streep‘s daughter in the big screen adaptation of the Tony-winning play August: Osage County.

Rumors first surfaced in 2010 that the two Oscar winners would be playing mother and daughter, but The Weinstein Company recently officially confirmed the casting.

“After seeing Meryl Streep‘s mesmerizing portrayal as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, it has me even more excited and proud to co-star with her,” Julia said in a statement (via EW).
