OlderJohnny Depp: 'Rango' Wins an Oscar!
Johnny Depp leaves an apartment building on Monday (February 27) in New York City.
The 48-year-old actor skipped Sunday’s Academy Awards where his animated movie, Rango, picked up the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
After winning the award, director Gore Verbinski credited Johnny for getting the movie made.
“It helps when you’re friends with Johnny Depp,” Gore, who’s also working with Johnny on The Lone Ranger, told reporters. “I mean, we needed money and once Johnny said he was in, things started to happen.”

I admire that he dresses the way he wants, not caring what people think or say. I think if he dressed any differently, he wouldn’t feel like himself.
I will always love Johnny not only for his movies, but also because he isn’t afraid to be himself (especially in hollywood).

Love Johnny Depp. Has anyone who mentioned he looks bloated thought that just MAYBE he was celebrating Rango winning an Oscar the night before…especially when he himself has never won one and now he has played a character who in the beginning of the movie was trying to be an actor and has now won an Oscar. I know I would have been celebrating all night. and he looks a lot better than I would have looked.
