Gwen Stefani is fierce as can be in a black and white ensemble on Wednesday (April 18) in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old rocker smiled for the cameras as she headed out of her recording studio session.

Gwen and her band No Doubt have been working together on their latest record for several months.

The band’s official Twitter has been keeping fans updated about their progress. They recently tweeted: “@AdrianYoungND wrapping up another great studio day with @markspikestent” along with a photo.

Earlier in the week, Gwen took her 5-year-old son Kingston to Milk + Bookies Story Time. Milk + Bookies is a national organization that inspires kids to give back using books.
