Dakota Fanning Covers 'C' May 2012

Dakota Fanning graces the cover of C Magazine‘s May 2012 issue.

Here’s what the 18-year-old actress had to share:

On being a college student: “I’m not going to school for a career. I’m going for my own interest, for myself. I already know what I want to do forever.”

On if she’s ever been in love: “Ahh, not really. No. I would have to say no … but Effie wasn’t really in love with her husband, either, which made [filming the movie of the same name] easier.”

On turning 18: “I feel like this new chapter as an adult is almost like starting over. That’s the interesting part about getting older in this business. I’m excited to present myself differently.”

FYI: Dakota wore several looks from the just-off-the-runway Chanel Haute Couture collection for her cover shoot!

Wow! She’s all grown up now! Can’t wait to see how she handles her young adult life. Hopefully she won’t be one of those Hollywood actress that fell into the wrong kind of life. She seems like she came from a good, stable family.

Did she want to play dress up to look like she’s 27 going on 30? Or was that the magazines idea to exploit her?

Actually, I like how she is dressed!
Other magazines would rather dress her with less fabric!
She usually dress pretty well all the time, age appropriate!

I hope she continues to stay this grounded :)

So am I the only one who thinks that she comes off as conceited then?

Stay classy, Dakota. You’re one of a kind among young women these days. Don’t go running around, bed-hopping. Hold your ground.

I don’t think Dakota ever had a boyfriend. Not that that’s a bad thing. A good role model for young girls.

I love her; she’s such a good role model for young girls. I think she has a great perspective on college – I’m a firm believer that everyone should go, even if you’re financially set for life.

Am I the only one that thinks she has gotten very strange looking..she use to be so cute her face has changed very much..

@R:

Was just gonna post the same thing.. What in the name of photoshop hell have they done to her face on the cover? And her arms look soooo tiny compared to the head:O

It doesn’t really look like her on the cover, like her face is off or something. However, reading that’s she never been in love makes me feel better about being a teen girl whose never had a boyfriend or been kissed either. I’m glad I’m not the only girl out there that isn’t boy-crazy.

she hasn’t aged well.

way too much make up especially for a 18 year old.

dont want to look like a ****!

dont want to look like a s l u t. geez

one of the hollywood actress this day that still look classy, hopefully she will remain like this in the future

She has a great lovely family, that’s why she and Elle are so educated and not having trouble
