So SB allows her donation to be made public and she is praised when Brad and Angie’s donations are made public they are fame/ media whores. If you don’t believe look at the comments after their donations are mentioned.

There are a tonne of donations that Sandra has made that you people do not even know about. I would hardly say she is in the same category as Brangelina who invite the media along on every occasion. She is a class act.

Sandra has been also bashed about her donations too and so have many other celebrities who make their donations public. Whether it’s made public or not, donations are good for the people who receive them, and usually those who bash them do nothing. Basically, Brad and Angie, or Sandra, or many others would not need any media attention. I think they make their charitable work public to inspire others to do something or at least to think about those who need some help.

I don’t understand how this was made public on Sandra’s part. It appears she and other donars are being thanked for their generosity.

@Double Standard: The people that call Brad and Ange fame whores for donating money to charity are messed up in the head. I say THANK YOU to ANYONE who makes a donation, (regardless of if it’s for attention) because at least the money is going to a cause and not to another big fancy house or car because lord knows these people get paid way too much money in the first place.

@jez7:

Actually I admire anyone who donates and gets off their a$$ to help a cause. And Brangelina too donates plenty of money that is not made public. Angie and Brad both have championed smaller causes and the only reason anyone ever found out about them was because a picture was tweeted or something by someone who benefited.

But it is true. When the Jolie Pitts donate money publically they are trashed in most blogs as media ho’s. You don’t see Aniston trashed when she makes it known she has donated money and time same with Bullock. I like both of these women, but as “America’s Sweethearts” they get a pass big time.

Most charitable donations are made public by the recipient charity organizations in order to publicize the charity’s work and to attract and inspire more donations from charitable people. NOBODY, whether it is Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, even tennis celebrity Roger Federer, should be thrashed or accused of being fame whores because the charity organization announced their donation. As a result of these donations they get public exposure but it is a thousand times better than being photographed going in or out of rehabilitation centers, or exposing their private parts in public, or spewing racist, misogynic, or homophobic rants on TV or airwaves.

Some people may prefer to donate anonymously but they shouldn’t feel smugly righteous about this preference as the effect sof donations, whether announced or anonymous, are the same. And people who donate anonymously shouldn’t announce at all that they donated anonymously.

Sandra is one of the most generous celebs around! She doesn’t hesitate to offer up huge amounts of money whenever, wherever needed. And yeah I agree we probably are aware of only a small percentage. OT – I sure wish I had her perfect skin. It always looks gorgeous with or without make-up. Beautiful lady and human!

It’s really great step taken by Sandra Bullock. donated a large sum of money to the Warren Eason Charter High School in New Orleans, La. Sandra has been involved in charitable projects with the school, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, for many years. I think we should do charity because it’s a noble cause that’s why we Donate money to charity.
