Leona Lewis: Hackney Weekend Performer!
Leona Lewis hits the stage during BBC Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend on Saturday (June 23) in Hackney, England.
The 27-year-old singer kicked off the weekend musical festival, which also featured performances by Jay-Z and Rihanna.
“On my way to hackney marshes for the show!!! Here’s a piece of my set! Can u guess what it’s part of????” she tweeted.
BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Trevor Nelson introduced Leona telling the crowd, “[She is] the most famous singer to have ever come out of Hackney.”
The X Factor UK alum opened the music festival with a cover of Diddy Dirty Money‘s “Coming Home” featuring a guest performance from rapper Wretch 32.
