Sandra Lee Wins Two Daytime Emmy Awards!

Sandra Lee keeps it simple on the cover of the July/August 2012 issue of Elle Decor magazine.

Here’s what the 45-year-old two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning cooking show hostess had to share with the mag:

On her home: “I wanted a place where we could all be together, where [New York governor Andrew Cuomo's] girls felt completely comfortable. It is the quintessential American house, and it just seemed to have wonderful energy. We are homebodies at heart.”

On Gov. Cuomo’s taste in decor: “[The dining room] is the only one (room) in the house that Andrew has specific ideas about!”

    She’s no cook. Opening up a can and throwing it on a plate doesn’t count as cooking, or a very nutritious meal. She’s the queen of lazy, junk-food meal fixers. She must have had major ties in order to get the recognition she gets.

    The fact that Sandra Lee not only has shows on Food Network, but somehow won awards for them, is a gigantic slap in the face to real cooks and chefs everywhere. The “meals” that Sandrunk creates are abominable slop that I would not feed to my dog.

    stop hating on her, you don’t like her food dont cook it. she’s good at what she’s created and leave it at that. don’t hate on other people’s success.

    She mixes high-fat, high-sodium, high-preservative items together. The lack of any healthy value to her gross, junk-food meals is astounding. I think her biggest offense is the continued rape of angel food cakes- the cakes are meant to be a low fat, healthy alternative to traditional cakes. She maims them by dumping cans of high-fat, high-sugar canned frosting on them. It’s disgusting.

    People like Sandra Lee only perpetuate to America’s growing health issues- heart disease, diabetes, obesity… all of these can be linked and correllated to unhealthy eating habits, which is exactly what all of her gross amalgamations of store bought, processed garbage consist of.

    I wouldn’t exactly be proud of “being good at what she’s created”. No skill, talent, or common sense seems to be required.
