OlderMichael Fassbender To Star In 'Assassin's Creed'!
Michael Fassbender will star in and co-produce Assassin’s Creed, according to Variety.
The 35-year-old actor will play the lead character in the big-screen adaptation of Ubisoft’s video game franchise. Michael will produce through his production company, DMC Film.
“Michael Fassbender was our first choice,” Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Paris-based Ubisoft Motion Pictures, said. “Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.”
Assassin’s Creed revolves around a man who learns his ancestors were trained assassins after he is kidnapped by a secret org with ties to the Knights Templar, and sent back in time to retrieve historical artifacts.

This is going to be either hit or miss.
I love Michael Fassbender. He is a great actor, but I don’t think he is the right choice.
Movies based on video games are almost always mediocre. I think Michael is a bit too talented for this role… Just saying.
I hope Kristen Bell will also be in the movie since she’s in the video game.
I have to agree not the right choice and it’s probably going to suck as all movies based on video game do.
I really want this movie to be good, but I have to agree with #5 after Prince of Persia I just don’t have it in me to be disappointed by thinking that a movie based on a video game I love is going to be awesome so I’ll stick with it’ll probably suck.
Honestly would have rather seen Zachary Quinto or someone else matching the part better. I love Michael and I’m sure he’ll do a great job with the part (even if the script is crap) but this worries me already.

NO…why would you do this Michael? You’re so good at what you do, why not stay with great characters instead of this stupid video game stuff… I don’rtwant to lose all respect for you like I did with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Isn’t Knights Templar the name of the organization that Breivik pretends to be apart of? I didn’t know it came from an actual video game…
It’ll be cool to see this video game turn into a movie. I am looking forward to see if Fassbender can pull it off. He’s a great actor and well, pretty nice to look at. This may turn out really well! xD
AMAZING game series! I approve, I think Fassbender is a strong lead. However, it depends how it’s written and how the cinematography is. I truly hope it does well, but we will see…
