'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Premiere Breaks Ratings Records

Game of Thrones returned to the small screen last night (March 31) with its biggest audience to date!

The hit HBO series was viewed by 4.4 million people during its 9pm premiere and a total of 6.7 million viewers for the evening after its two repeats were added in, up 13 percent from last year’s premiere.

The premiere episode faced some steep competition during its time slot as it went up against the highly anticipated season finale of The Walking Dead. It also aired on Easter Sunday, when ratings often dip.
