    So sad. Don and Phil Everly were pitch-perfect; no group outdid them when they harmonized. And they were so handsome ….

    A Legend remembered deep in my heart. From my record collection, I will continue to be a fan. , recalling a gentleman, his ardent response to all his fans he met, not a one did he ignore, accepting Stage Door mania, always with a smile, and that pleasing memory will live on with me.

    One of rock’s originals has joined the great jukebox in the sky, along with Elvis, Johnny Cash, and all the others. RIP.

    This is awful.. Phil and Don Everly are on the cover of the Beatles’ Sgt Peppers album. And They’re mentioned in a Paul McCartney song.

    @Victoria:

    Actually, I stand corrected. They’re not on the cover of Sgt. Pepper’s. But Paul McCartney paid tribute to the Everly’s in his 1976 song, “Let Em In.” He sings about Phil and Don.

    The Everly Brothers were true talents, unlike the absolute trash around today, from rappers whose words you can’t understand or don’t want to understand to fools lip-synching while parading around on stage as if they’re something special. Phil’s passing is a great loss.
