Matt Damon Remembers 'Talented Mr. Ripley' Co-Star Philip Seymour Hoffman: 'He Was a Beautiful Person'

Matt Damon leaves his appearance on Good Morning America in the chilly weather on Tuesday (February 4) in New York City.

The 43-year-old actor chatted about his film Monuments Men, as well as the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who he acted with in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

“He was an actor’s actor. He was one of the best actors to ever live without a doubt. Without a doubt and he was an even better person,” Matt said on the show. “He was a beautiful, beautiful person. And I know that all of us are continuing to think about him and his family. It’s horrible.”

Monuments Men is in theaters this Friday.

Nice words from Damon. It must be difficult for any of his former co-stars doing promo right now as I’m sure lots of journalists will be asking for them to comment.
The Talented Mr Ripley is a fantastic film.
