Television Legend Valerie Harper 'Absolutely Cancer Free' After Battle with Terminal Brain Cancer

A little over a year ago, television legend Valerie Harper was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and she has just announced that she is officially cancer free!

The 74-year-old Mary Tyler Moore Show actress was told she had an inoperable brain tumor and would have maybe a few months. Doctors have been astounded by her results.

“I’m absolutely cancer-free!” she told Closer magazine. “My last scans have been positive, and my doctors are very happy. [The oncologist] looked at the scans and said, ‘Oh my God, Valerie, this is very encouraging!’”

“I’m now the poster child for not believing everything I’m told. There may come a time when I’m not feeling good,” she said. “But then again, that time may never come.”
