Cate Blanchett Says Audiences Should Expect to Be Shocked by Her Latest Play 'The Maids'

The 45-year-old actress recently opened up about her latest play The Maids and how the NYC version will differ from the Australian one.

“It is different – but I think it’s exciting,” Cate told the Sydney Morning Herald. “If anyone comes to Genet, they should be expecting to be shocked. Benedict [Andrews, the director] has such a long relationship with the company, and there’s also something uniquely Australian about the vernacular of this re-imagining of it.”
