Health Department Investigating Joan Rivers' Cardiac Arrest Episode During Outpatient Procedure

Joan Rivers went into a cardiac episode last week during a procedure at a clinic in New York City, and now the New York state health department is looking into the incident.

Spokesman James O’Hare said the department will be looking into the “the whole matter,” but declined to comment on more specifics on what exactly they would be looking into, THR reports.

Joan has been in the hospital since the episode and the status of her condition is not known. Yesterday, her daughter Melissa said that she was moved to a private room out of intensive care.

I read in the blinds that the life support is going to be turned off today, and she’s not expected to survive. Sad. If that is the case, I will miss you and your (too often) misunderstood humor.

  • Sudden cardiac arrest

She should of been in the. cardiac Care Unit at the hospital not intensive care! So fast to leave intensive care a week later? Wow Sudden Cardiac arrest is what she had and she recovered that fast! Wow how sudden she is moved , this all sounds a little weird! It takes weeks to recover from a cardiac arrest, nice to know that ahe is a miracle!

M NO she is not going off life support today! Going to a private Room!

Anyone that knows cardiac parents Knows it takes time to recover! Not days

  • DUH

@Sudden cardiac arrest: Do you even get it? She didn’t recover, dummy. Save your preaching and exclamation points!!! for something else. She’s already IN a private room, know-it-all. They’re preparing for the worst.

All healthcare workers say that once you reach age 80 that being put to sleep is dangerous. If that is the case, why didn’t she have that treatment done at the hospital instead of a clinic?

  • Go away

@Sudden cardiac arrest: You are a complete moron. She died.
