Bradley Cooper: Sony Defends 'Aloha' After Casting Criticism
Bradley Cooper stops to sign autographs for fans while making his way out of the Theatre Royal Haymarket following a performance of The Elephant Man on Wednesday night (May 27) in London, England.
Earlier in the day, the 40-year-old actor reportedly hung out with his new girlfriend Irina Shayk.
Bradley‘s latest film Aloha has been receiving backlash for its all-white cast, but the studio stands by it.
“While some have been quick to judge a movie they haven’t seen and a script they haven’t read, the film Aloha respectfully showcases the spirit and culture of the Hawaiian people,” Sony told Us Weekly. “Filmmaker Cameron Crowe spent years researching this project and many months on location in Hawaii, cultivating relationships with leading local voices. He earned the trust of many Hawaiian community leaders, including Dennis ‘Bumpy’ Kanahele, who plays a key role in the film.”
