Jennifer Lawrence's First Film Director Knew She Was a Star
Jennifer Lawrence lets her long hair down while stopping by a friend’s house for a visit on Sunday afternoon (June 21) in Malibu, Calif.
The director from the 24-year-old actress’ first-ever feature film, 2008′s The Poker House, recently opened up about her talent.
“When we were doing A League of Their Own, [Robert] De Niro, who was good friends with Penny [Marshall, the director] was doing This Boy’s Life,’” Lori Petty told MTV. “And he goes, ‘You got to see this kid.’ So we go over to the editing room, and it was Leonardo [DiCaprio], and I was like, ‘That motherf-cker. That – Oh my god.’ So I felt like that when I saw Jennifer‘s tape. I just knew she was a movie star.”
Lori continued, “I’m so happy for her and her success.”
