Chris Rock Hasn't Planned His Oscars 2016 Monologue Yet

Chris Rock has not yet planned what he will be addressing in his monologue at the 2016 Oscars despite the show’s producer claiming he’d tackle the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

The 50-year-old comedian’s rep has responded to reports that Chris rewrote his speech after the nominations were announced.

“Regarding Reggie Hudlin‘s comments about Chris Rock‘s Oscar hosting duties, neither he nor anyone else speaks for Chris,” his rep told JustJared.com in a statement. “Chris has made no decisions about the content of the show. All will be revealed on February 28th. We will not comment further on this.”

Here is what Reggie originally said to ET: “Chris is hard at work. He and his writing staff locked themselves in a room. As things got a little provocative and exciting, he said, ‘I’m throwing out the show I wrote and writing a new show.’”

This will make or break Chris Rock’s career. All the directors that could ever hire him are going to be there. If he starts acting all racist he will never work in Hollywood again. Better be careful.

I swear to god, you couldn’t be more right!

I can only wonder under what kind of pressure Chris must be right now!

PS – I have a YouTube channel and my latest video is called “Oscar Craze (And Predictions)”. If you have time do check it out and you know, let’s start up a discussion there :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot0OdHeeAh4

This makes me not want to support any black actors in movies because of this spoiled sense of entitlement they have.
Johnny Depp is the most snubbed person this year yet I don’t recall seeing his wife making a video while sitting in her million dollar mansion threatening to boycott the Oscars just because he is not a nominee. I refuse to support any black actors from now on.
Thank you Will, Jada, Spike Lee, George Clooney, Lupita, etc. You have turned the Oscars into a awards show about race and not the performances.
This makes me glad that Spider Man was still casted as a white despite black cry babies whining about him wanting to be black.
Black actors do not sell well to the public unless they are A listers. That is a fact.

I think he is right to be worried. He can either trash an industry who gives him work and become blacksited, or try to criticize it somewhat still be safe. Chris Rock is more worried about Chris Rock finding work. I doubt he cares about other blacks finding work.

Oh he’ll work, he’s that good

  • The Absolute Truth

” spoiled sense of entitlement ” what?
Perhaps ur unaware but The Academy is made up
    92% Caucasian
    73% Male
    62 medium age

Beasts of No Nation was snubbed by The Academy for 2 nominations Picture and Actor. I have a feeling the snub had to do with it being a Netflix movie then race related.

In case ur wondering I’m Caucasian in case that’s important to you.

  • The Absolute Truth

I subscribed to ur channel, looks good

  • Ariana

BONN was a Netflix movie, meaning its a TV movie.

  • James

yeah right, I’m sure they are preparing it and changing it day by day

  • Shivani Yadav

    OMG, thank you so much!!
