John Boyega Wins Rising Star Award at BAFTAs 2016!

The 23-year-old Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor won the EE Rising Star Award, beating out Dakota Johnson, Brie Larson, Bel Powley, and Taron Egerton. The award was voted for by the public!

John revealed on the red carpet that he begins filming Star Wars: Episode VIII on Monday.

“I start tomorrow,” John told People. “I’ve got a 6 a.m. pickup tomorrow!”
