Taylor Spreitler's Dad Commits Suicide, 'Melissa & Joey' Actress Writes Emotional Tribute

Taylor Spreitler has written an emotional tribute to her father after he took his own life.

The 22-year-old actress, best known for her work on Melissa & Joey, announced the news on her Instagram in hopes of promoting suicide prevention.

“Today my heart is hurting. My dad took his own life due to his struggles with depression. I am deeply saddened and will miss him dearly as he was my inspiration and biggest cheerleader,” Taylor captioned a photo of her dad. “I am sharing this news with my all my fans as I want to educate everyone on the pain that depression can cause. My mission now is to educate others on how to get help.
