Connie Britton Set to Star In New Showtime Comedy 'SMILF'

Connie Britton is making her way back to the small screen!

The 50-year-old Nashville star has landed a multiple-episode role on Showtime’s forthcoming comedy called SMILF, according to THR.

Based on Frankie Shaw‘s short film of the same name, SMILF is set in Boston and takes a raw and honest comedic look at a single, 20-something from Southie whose desires for relationships, sex and a career collide with the realities of young, single motherhood.

Connie is set to play Ally, Bridgette’s (Shaw) unstable boss who struggles with boundaries and finds herself in constant pursuit of self-betterment. Her expectations for Bridgette’s role in her life go far beyond tutoring her kids.
