Jonah Hill Almost Played Justin Timberlake's Role in 'Social Network'

Jonah Hill almost played Justin Timberlake‘s role in the 2010 movie The Social Network, directed by David Fincher.

“Low-key, David Fincher, or high-key, David Fincher didn’t want me in Social Network,” Jonah said during an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast. “It was between me and Justin Timberlake for that part… Obviously [Fincher’s] the man, but he was not having me. The studio wanted me, I think, and then Justin Timberlake was amazing in it.”

“Social Network is the one that I was actually like years later was like, ‘F—, like I’m so bummed,’” Jonah added.

If you don’t know, Justin played the role of Facebook’s first President, Sean Parker, in the movie. Of course, Jonah went to star in hits like Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street and earned two Oscar nominations for his roles in those films.

Missed opportunity. Such a great movie but JT was distracting and the weakest performance.

Jonah would have been better in the role. All I ever see when I see JT in a role is JT, not an actor.
