Sean Hayes Shares The Backstory Behind His New Children's Book 'Plum'

Sean Hayes just added author to his resume with the release of his sweet new children’s book Plum!

The 48-year-old actor hosted a book signing on Monday night (November 26) at Barnes & Noble Union Square in New York City.

Earlier in the day, Sean explained how he came up with the concept for the book during an appearance on Good Morning America.

“Plum is a book that [my husband] Scotty and I wrote. It’s how the Sugar Plum Fairy got her wings. What we have in common is a creativeness, a love for music…I was obsessed with The Nutcracker and found out he was too. And so we were like ‘This is an insane story…so where do these characters come from? Let’s do an origins story!’” Sean explained.

The couple are hoping to do stories for more of The Nutcracker characters as well!
