Gerard Butler's 'Angel Has Fallen' Trailer Finally Debuts Online - Watch Now!

The first full-length trailer for Gerard Butler‘s Angel Has Fallen has just debuted online!

Here’s a synopsis of the movie, in theaters on August 23: When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the President. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger.

Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Piper Perabo, Nick Nolte and Danny Huston also star.

The movie is the third installment in the franchise, after Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and London Has Fallen (2016).

Also pictured inside: Gerard heading to a business meeting in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 15).

Looks great. Can’t wait to see it.

    wow! Wonderful!

  • Wondering

It looks awesome. Did they really throw Freeman in that cold water. I hope it was his stunt double.

  • Yeah Right

This one looks like it will be the best one yet. Can’t wait!

  • Wondering

Maybe by him saying he went deep it will be more of a drama than all action. More to show his acting than just shoot outs. We know from Vanishing he has it in him.

  • interesting

I didn’t see any of the other ones.

This gon’ get ugly. I hope you’re ready to have your *ss kicked by a woman.

Omg, it looks like he is black and blue on his chest. Thanks, never saw this pic before. He is a searcher of different things. The things he has experienced in his life is just amazing.

On second thought, L.A. is the perfect place for him.

You know when you see pics like this he is not comfortable with himself. These guru’s feed him ideas that he thinks he needs for fulfilment. The good things that Gerry does is all the places all over the world he has seen and the people he has met is an amazing life. He is fortunate in that regards but he just is always looking for something he will never find. Over the years he has hopped from one guru to the next. I think even with his money and fame he is missing that special place to get peace in his life.

Fake gurus are a dime a dozen in L.A. There’s one on every corner and they prey on emotionally needy celebrities, and there are plenty of those. I think he’s become so entrenched in the L.A. mentality that he’ll be guru-hopping for the rest of his life. A good solid six months or more in Scotland (or anywhere in Europe) would bring him back down to earth, but I think he’s already drank too much Kool-Aid.

Whatever he has in his life is not fulfilling or he wouldn’t be looking for temporary fixes. I still would have loved to be able to travel and see the world that he has been able to see. That part of is life has been wonderful to do. He has surrounded himself with empty people so this is the outcome from that.

  • Yeah Right

Dear God. Someone please help this man.

  • Yeah Right

I totally agree Anon. The man needs to get out of LA for at least a year.

  • anon

It seems he’s always looked for someone outside himself to solve his issues, but in my humble opinion things got a lot worse once he isolated himself with the Malibu leeches. Now he’s going overboard with it. It’s a shame he doesn’t see enough of his mother that she can be of any help, because I doubt she’s liking this. He talks of how much he respects her opinion and he trusts her, so she’s probably the only one that can ground him.

  • Yeah Right

Gerry definitely has issues. He is searching for something but cannot quite find it. I feel sorry for him.

  • Yeah Right

You’re right. BUT, the leeches keep pulling him back in.

  • Guest

    Amen to that.

  • anon

I don’t know if the leeches are a part of this cult or not. I don’t think they were at the retreat where that pic was taken. I think it’s possible he’s moved on to a new group, but obviously they’re still hanging around enough so that he doesn’t get too far off the leash.

  • Wondering

He does isolate himself in Malibu. It looked like over the last few months he was breaking those ties but if he stays there idle he will fall right back into it.

  • anon

Like I’ve said before, a real therapist with an actual degree and years of experience would do wonders. And then he needs to get the hell out of L.A. and get around some real, grounded, salt of the earth-type people, not a bunch of vacuous trust fund layabouts with money to burn.

  • Wondering

I swear I would bitch slap him and tell him to snap out of it, lol.

  • anon

I think he was breaking away, or starting to, even before the fire. I don’t think he’s been living in Malibu for quite some time. The only positive is that even though he’s still in West Hollywood, he’s not as isolated as he was when he was living in Malibu, which is probably helping a bit.

  • anon

It’s like trying to quit Scientology, lol.

Lol, I think that’s cos of the lighting/filter. I was reading yesterday about the controversy surrounding Tony Robbins and thought of Butler.
“He is a searcher of different things.”
I agree. This is JMO but I think he goes to these places/people and discovers/learns new things but doesn’t follow any one of them like a cult, so to speak. There are a lot of kooks and scammers out there but the idea of ‘spirituality’ has become a huge industry over the past 5-10 years all over the world, not just in LA. I don’t personally go for any of it but I have some family and friends who are into it big time. Whatever makes you happy, I say. As long as you’re not harming anyone and you think it works for you, go for it.

Being disparaged for not “giving a grown man the credit to run his own life”, and horrors!, behaving like his “mother or wife”, of “choosing” to see sadness and emptiness in his eyes, “glass half empty”,
… does not make me cry.
This, …Envision, with JC the snake, has me doubled over, and sobbing.

  • Wondering

Most of the time he has a great life. I know at times he looks like he goes off the deep end but he seems open minded to somethings that look weird to others. I just think that some of the things we see him do are just the never ending curiosity he has for experiencing life. I agree he hurts no one but himself if he over indulges.

I don’t think anyone gets to attend these meetings/retreats or whatever without forking over something, and in the case of celebrities, it’s likely not just cash but PR in the form of taking their pic and posting it, either surreptitiously or otherwise. The leaders of these groups/cults make a ton of dough if they can attract enough people, and they use celebrities for that purpose. If he wants it out there that he’s associated with some of these people, it’s his business, but makes him look a bit unhinged. It’s true that he’s not hurting anyone other than himself, but he’s good at that. I don’t think he’s very careful about who he surrounds himself with. That’s just the way it comes across to me.

Its not just L.A. that these type of people are found. While they are concentrated along the west coast, they can be found in the heart of America also. There are so many lost souls in this world that are looking for answers to life’s questions. My Mom told me when I young the best way to find yourself is to help others. I think he should do more charity work for Mary’s Meals, I think he would find purpose in that. I wonder if he prays anymore.

  • Wondering

All the property he owns but not one of those places he realy set down roots. He is like a nomad. He flits from one thing to the next that draws his attention. Restless spirit or just afraid to stand still. He seems at times he is running away from himself. He would be exhausting to keep up with.

I’ve always wondered why Gerry is never in the blockbuster films. Maybe because “makes him look a bit unhinged”. Could be why! lol

  • Yeah Right

Face it Curious, MB is not going anywhere and Gerry doesn’t have the balls to tell her to get lost. lol

Honestly, I don’t think any of us can genuinely say that he’s hurting himself. We have no idea what’s going on in his life, it’s all just speculation and projection. Yes, it’s fun to discuss but none of us knows what’s he’s actually like or what/how he’s doing. He has the money, time and access to all sorts of interesting things/people, I think it’s good that he’s exploring so many people/places/ways of life/thinking etc. cos that’s what life is all about. JMO, of course.

  • Yeah Right

It’s great to see a picture where Gerry looks like a normal person. lol

  • anon

That could be part of it, lol. We’ll never know for sure, but I think he likes to be in control, including how much, or how little, he works. I think that might be the reason he hasn’t signed on to a series. IMO he only wants to work enough to fund his lifestyle at this point, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The gaps between films are getting longer and longer. Even if he gets one shoot done this year, it won’t open for ages and he’s got no others in the can.

    Standing Ovation
Nobody is even bothering to mention The Vanishing in comparison.

  • Yeah Right

Exactly! Gerry does not have a passion for acting. To him, it’s his occupation. A means to fund his hobbies. It’s a shame really because he is a talented actor. He proved that in Vanishing.
