Ross Perot Dead - Ex-Presidential Candidate & Billionaire Dies at 89

Ross Perot has died at the age of 89.

The billionaire, known for running twice for President of the United States as an Independent, passed away according to his family on Tuesday (July 9). He was diagnosed with leukemia earlier in 2019.

“Ross Perot, the ground-breaking businessman and loving husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away early Tuesday at his home in Dallas, surrounded by his devoted family,” his family said in a statement.

Ross was known for his 1992 presidential campaign, garnering nearly 19% of the vote, which Bill Clinton ultimately won. He would run again in 1996 under the Reform Party.
