Adam Levine Explains His Decision to Leave 'The Voice'

Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing later today.

While on the show, Adam said he’s now a “a stay-at-home dad” who does “very little” after leaving his gig on The Voice.

“I really do miss it. I love the people that I met and worked with, and obviously we all know how I feel about Blake [Shelton],” Adam said about leaving the show. “I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was just constantly working for so many years. Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed, and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever.”

He also spoke about his time with kids Gio and Dusty Rose, who are one and three years old, with his wife Behati Prinsloo.

“I’m obsessed with them. I mean, I know that’s a good thing because they’re my children, but that’s why I don’t do much,” Adam added.

Maroon 5 later came out to perform, and they announced they are going back on tour!
