Edward Norton Actually Punched Brad Pitt in the Ear While Filming 'Fight Club'

Edward Norton is reflecting on his film Fight Club, which is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The 50-year-old actor revealed that when he awkwardly hit co-star Brad Pitt in the ear during the film, it was actually a real punch and Brad‘s real reaction.

“It’s the first punch in the movie and I hit him in the ear. [Director David] Fincher came up to me and said, ‘Hit him, connect with him somewhere.’ I didn’t know what to do and I hit him in the ear,” Edward explained on The Tonight Show.

He continued, “He says in the film, ‘Ow! Why the ear?’ Yeah, that was real!”
