Cody Simpson Reacts to Backlash for Miley Cyrus' Comment About Being Gay

Cody Simpson is speaking out following the backlash that his girlfriend Miley Cyrus‘ comments received from the LGBTQ community.

While talking about her relationship with Cody during an Instagram Live stream, Miley said that she previously thought she had to be gay because there were no good men out there… until she met Cody.

“There are good men out there guys, don’t give up,” Miley said. “You don’t have to be gay, there are good people with (penises) out there, you just got to find them.”

During an appearance on Australia’s The Project show, Cody responded to backlash for the comments.

“People took that the wrong way I think,” he said. “You don’t choose who you fall for, you don’t choose who you love, whatever gender, whoever you are. No, she’s wonderful.”
