Sam Rockwell Tells 'Kimmel' He Had To Get Security Checked at the Airport Because of His Oscar!
Sam Rockwell paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night (December 5) and told a hilarious story about going through airport security with his Oscar award.
The 51-year-old actor won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and had to travel with his Oscar to go back home.
“I checked it on the carry-on and actually I got stopped for a random check. A very young woman, maybe 20, took it out of the bag and swabbed it,” Sam recalled. “She took it out of bag and she had the swab with no expression. I was like, ‘really? that’s it. That’s all I get?’ I don’t think she knew what it was. It makes me think well we really do live in a Hollywood bubble, some people don’t know about them.”
Sam also talked about dancing with Madonna at her Oscars after party, working with Clint Eastwood on his new movie Richard Jewell, and his real friendship with Christopher Walken.
