PewDiePie Announces Break From YouTube in 2020

PewDiePie has decided to take a break from YouTube.

The 30-year-old Swedish gamer – whose real name is Felix Kjellbergrevealed in a video on Saturday (December 14) that he is planning a break from making videos in 2020.

“I am taking a break from YouTube next year,” PewDiePie revealed. “I wanted to say it in advance because I made up my mind.”

He continued: “I’m tired. I’m feeling very tired. I don’t know if you can tell. Just so you know, early next year I’ll be a way for a little while. I’ll explain that later but I wanted to give a heads up.”

first teased a break from YouTube back in August, when he married girlfriend and former YouTube personality Marzia Bisognin, saying in a video, “I do think it would be good for me to take a break at some point. It would be nice to not have YouTube in my brain for the first time in 10 years.”

came under fire back in 2017 after posting videos with anti-Semitic remarks.

PewDiePie first launched his YouTube channel in 2010 and rose to fame through his videos playing Minecraft and other games.
