'Cats' Has Been Removed from Universal's FYC Campaign Page

Before the new movie musical Cats was released, many people expected it to be in consideration for accolades during awards season. But after the reviews for the film, those awards chances are pretty much non-existent.

Universal Pictures had previously featured Cats on its For Your Consideration campaign website, which listed screening dates for eligible awards voters. Now, the movie has been removed from the page, just a few days after its release into theaters.

Cats has received two awards nominations so far – a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for “Beautiful Ghosts,” written by Taylor Swift and Andrew Lloyd Webber, plus a Golden Reel Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Musical for Feature Film.
