Sam Lloyd Dead - 'Scrubs' Actor Dies at 56 After Cancer Battle

Sam Lloyd has sadly passed away at the age of 56 following a battle with cancer.

The actor was best known for playing the role of lawyer Ted Buckland on the NBC comedy series Scrubs.

Back in February 2019, it was revealed the Sam was diagnosed with lung cancer and a brain tumor, just weeks after he and his wife Vanessa welcomed their first child.

Sam appeared in 95 episodes of Scrubs and he also reprised the role on Cougar Town, another series created by Bill Lawrence.

“Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted). Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many,” Bill tweeted on Friday.

Zach Braff, the star of Scrubs, wrote, “Rest In Peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working with. Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”
