Chad Michael Murray is showing off his hot body while going shirtless at the beach for his birthday vacation!

The actor, who turned 38 on August 24, traveled to the Bahamas for a stay at Beaches Turks and Caicos with his family, including with Sarah Roemer and their kids.

The family enjoyed a week full of fun, sun and sand in their Key West oceanview two story, two bedroom butler suite.

“I am filled with so much gratitude and love. Thank you God 1st & foremost. I want to thank each and EVERY SINGLE ONE of you lovely humans for all the bday wishes & Love. All 1.4 Million of you😎 I love you all,” Chad wrote on Instagram on his birthday.

He added, “The best is yet to come. More movies, shows & stories to share together in the future. Thank you to my stunning wife @rooeemer for always making my life better & better. It’s more full, focused & my heart swells with joy because of you & our little kiddos. Bean & Podge- you nailed the birthday song! I LOVE YOU! Chad Michael Murray is opening up about how he prepped for his “dream job” of playing cult leader Edgar Evernever on Riverdale.

The 37-year-old One Tree Hill actor stopped by E! News‘ “Daily Pop” to chat about the CW series.

Here’s what he had to share:

On his cult role in Riverdale: “It’s a dream job, it’s on the list of whoa! … As an actor, [when asked], ‘Do you want to play a cult leader?’ the answer is always ‘yes.’”

On his wife, Sarah Roemer, pushing him to do Riverdale: “For me, the wife is the one that pushed me in this direction. She’s an avid Riverdale fan, and she said, ‘You’re doing it, and that’s the last we’re going to talk about it,’ and I’m so grateful I did.”

On his wife and kids going to Vancouver with him while he films Riverdale: “I’m a father because I want to be there, I want to witness these things, I want to see every cornerstone and every moment and be a part of shaping who they are, so I’ve loved every minute of it.”

The Riverdale star made an appearance on Busy Tonight on Thursday night (April 18).

During his appearance, Chad attempted to get creative with Busy‘s daughter Cricket‘s hair. He also talked about a wild fan encounter, and his love for fatherhood.

Plus, the former Freaky Friday actor dropped a major bombshell and recalled a nerve-racking moment leading up to a Lindsay Lohan kissing scene.

“I was Lindsay Lohan’s first kiss and Jamie Lee Curtis was there, and was trying to settle the situation because Lindsay was nervous…so we go and sit in Jamie’s trailer and she is like, just kiss him…and she grabs me by the back of the head and makes out with me,” he revealed.

The 37-year-old actor was on the show to promote his new role as Edgar Evernever on the hit The CW series Riverdale.

Chad made his debut on the most recent episode of the show after a ton of anticipation.

Later that day, Chad filmed an appearance on Busy Tonight, which will air later this week. He teased the interview in a post on his Instagram Stories.

Chad Michael Murray is heading back to The CW for a new role!

The 37-year-old former One Tree Hill star is set to join the cast of Riverdale in a recurring role in season three.

Chad will take on the role of Edgar Evernever, the leader of the cult-like Farm.

According to his official description, “Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?”

Edgar has been discussed on the series but hasn’t yet been seen.

The 37-year-old One Tree Hill actor stopped by Bailee Madison and Kaitlin Vilasuso‘s Just Between Us podcast to surprise 18-year-old three time cancer survivor Alexandra Wilson, who found escape during treatments by watching One Tree Hill.

After an emotional meeting, Chad told the story of becoming an actor, and how it was inspired by his time spent in a hospital as a teenager.

“When I was fifteen, I was in the hospital. Nothing, I mean, even comparable. I was there for about three months, and I became an actor because I wanted to create entertainment to keep people’s minds off it – to keep it in great places. And that’s what’s so beautiful. My goal always was – I remember, you know what it was for me? It was Scooby Doo…and The Simpsons is what made me happy. I would sit in bed, and I remember how lonely I was,” he explained.

“And I’d just turn on the TV and I’d just forget about everything that was going on for so long. I said, ‘That’s what I want to do. I want to be an actor someday so that I can give that to somebody else as a kid.’ So, you just brought everything full circle to know that you were sitting there, and watching something that we put our heart and soul into. Thank you so much. That warms my heart, beyond – you have no idea.”

Chad Michael Murray is heading back to television!

The 37-year-old actor will have a heavily recurring role in the upcoming third season of Fox’s Star, according to Deadline.

Chad will reportedly play Xander McPherson, an “opportunistic real estate investor who is involved in a toxic relationship with Cassie Brown.”

While Xander plays white collar, he learned his hustle on the street and knows how to use his charm and power to get what he wants.

Star‘s new season debuts on September 26th at 9 PM.

Chad was formally involved in another music drama, CMT’s short-lived Sun Records.
