Britney Spears and her boyfriend David Lucado have split after dating for a year and half, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

“Ahhhh the single life!” the 32-year-old singer tweeted on Thursday afternoon (August 28).

“Yes, she’s single,” her rep told us in a simple statement.

The reason for the split is reportedly because of a video that is being shopped around that shows David making out with another woman in someone’s living room, according to TMZ. No word on if this rumor is true though!

“David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out,” his rep told the site.

Britney was last photographed out and about with David last week, just after nominating him to take on the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Britney, who was nominated by her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, also nominated her beau David Lucado for the challenge, which raises awareness for ALS.

The 32-year-old entertainer was accompanied by her boyfriend David Lucado, who sported a football jersey.

Britney Spears and her boyfriend David Lucado keep close after their lunch at Pedalers Fork on Tuesday (August 12) in Calabasas, Calif.

Teen Wolf star Holland Roden recently encountered a big snake and her co-star Max Carver was able to catch the whole episode on video!

“@hollandroden who said she’s afraid of snakes? #It’sBritneyBitch” Max captioned the video, after she recreated some of Britney‘s “I’m A Slave 4 U” performance from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.

The day before, the 32-year-old entertainer was all smiles while breaking a sweat during a hike around a mountain with a gal pal in Santa Monica.

Producer William Orbit recently came to Britney‘s defense after an unedited version of her song “Alien” surfaced online.

“I have heard that Britney vocal link that everybody’s been discussing. It has been impossible not to as there have been many comments directing my attention to it. [I won't re-posting it here]. I’d like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up,” William wrote on Facebook.

He added, “Whomever put this on the internet must have done so in a spirit of unkindness, but it can in no way detract from the fact that Britney is and always will be beyond Stellar! She is magnificent! And that’s that.”
