Money Heist and Elite actor Jaime Lorente is starring in the new Amazon Prime Video series El Cid and we have first look photos for you to check out!

The 28-year-old actor is best known for playing Denver on Money Heist and Fernando “Nano” García Domínguez on Elite, two Spanish-language series that have become smash hits on Netflix.

Jaime is playing “Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar in a series inspired by the legendary medieval war hero, whose deeds inspired one of the most important of medieval Spanish epic poems,” according to Variety.

Also featured in the first look photos are Jaime‘s co-stars Alicia Sanz, Carlos Bardem, and Elia Galera.

Over the summer, Jaime was spotted putting his hot body on display while lounging on a yacht with his girlfriend Maria Pedraza, who also starred on Money Heist and Elite.

Jaime Lorente is fully suited in chainmail armor while shooting an elaborate sword fight for his new Amazon Prime series El Cid (English translation: The Lord) in Borox, Toledo, Spain. These pictures were taken this past March but were recently released.

The 28-year-old actor was visited by his girlfriend Maria Pedraza, who kept warm in a puffer jacket. She was also seen chatting on her iPhone and with some of Jamie‘s co-stars and on-set crew.

El Cid tells one of the most fascinating times in Spanish history, the epic story of a Castilian nobleman and war hero in medieval Spain named Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, aka El Cid (Lorente). The series, which will feature two seasons of six episodes, will focus on the figure of Cid as a person, in an Iberian peninsula plagued by cultures between the Muslim and Christian kingdoms. The super production boasts more than 4,000 square meters of sets, a team of more than 200 people and 11,000 extras. Accompanying Jaime in the series, which will be released later this year, will be Carlos Bardem (Count León), Juan Echanove (Bishop), Elia Galera (Queen Sancha la Bella), José Luis García-Pérez (King Fernando I el Grande), Alicia Sanz (Infanta Urraca), Lucía Guerrero (Jimena), Fran Ortiz (Sancho el Fuerte) and Ginés García Millán (Rey Ramiro de Navarra), among others.

Jaime, 28, and Maria, 24 star together in the smash streaming hits Elite and Money Heist, both of which are available on Netflix. Earlier this month, they were spotted honoring frontline workers.
