Ellen Page gets emotional while filming scenes for her upcoming flick Tallulah on Monday (July 6) on a dock in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City.
It was just announced by the Hollywood Reporter that the 28-year-old actress is set to star in a new film based on the life of Lance Corporal Leslie Martz, a U.S. Marine who was stationed in Iraq.
The indie flick tells the true story of Lance Corporal Martz‘s job as a leader of a Female Engagement Team, assigned to gain the trust of Afghan women by teaching them skills to become independent while also secretly collecting information about their Taliban husbands.
On top of that, she faces an internal war as she hides the fact that she is a gay woman in the military and struggles with her duties and her allegiance to the Afghan women she grows to admire.
Ellen can next be seen on the big screen in Freeheld, in theaters October 2.
