Anna Paquin is backing up Ellen Page‘s story about Brett Ratner.

Following Ellen‘s post about her experience with sexual harassment on the set of X-Men: The Last Stand, the 35-year-old True Blood actress spoke out on Twitter on Friday (November 10) to support Ellen.

“I was there when that comment was made. I stand with you .@EllenPage,” she wrote. “#truth #IStandWithYou.”

“If you can’t think of the glaringly obvious reason I remained silent then perhaps you’ve forgotten that I’ve been in this victim grooming industry since before I hit puberty,” she added.

Ellen Page is the latest star to speak out about sexual harassment in the movie industry.

The 30-year-old actress opened up in a lengthy Facebook post detailing her experience with Brett Ratner while filming X-Men: The Last Stand.

Brett reportedly made Ellen uncomfortable with a degrading comment during a cast and crew meeting before filming, which stayed with her long after the incident.

“I was a young adult who had not yet come out to myself. I knew I was gay, but did not know, so to speak. I felt violated when this happened. I looked down at my feet, didn’t say a word and watched as no one else did either. This man, who had cast me in the film, started our months of filming at a work event with this horrific, unchallenged plea. He ‘outed’ me with no regard for my well-being, an act we all recognize as homophobic,” she wrote.

Several other actresses, including Olivia Munn, have already spoken out against the director.

“Don’t compare wrongs or criminal acts by their degrees of severity. Don’t allow yourselves to be numb to the voices of victims coming forward. Don’t stop demanding our civil rights. I am grateful to anyone and everyone who speaks out against abuse and trauma they have suffered. You are breaking the silence. You are revolution.”

Ellen Page holds her girlfriend Emma Portner‘s hand while walking the red carpet at the premiere of Flatliners on Wednesday (September 27) at the Ace Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old actress gushed about her girlfriend while doing an interview at the event with ET.

“Oh, it’s the best,” Ellen said about having Emma’s support at the premiere. “Yeah, it’s the best.”

On the way to the premiere, Ellen shared a photo of her giving Emma a kiss in the car. “On the way to the @flatlinersmovie premiere! Thank you @hairbyjohnd @tobyfleischman and @samanthamcmillen_stylist for everything. #flatlinersmovie,” she captioned the pic.

The 28-year-old actress took to Twitter to explain that the new look is for an upcoming French movie!

The 30-year-old actress’ co-star Kate Mara was there with her husband Jamie Bell. The event was held during the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and hosted by Grey Goose Vodka and Soho House.

My Days of Mercy is about the “daughter of a man on death row who falls in love with a woman on the opposing side of her family’s political cause.”
