Emilia Clarke is back on the set of Marvel/Disney+‘s Secret Invastion!
The 35-year-old Game of Thrones star was seen filming on Monday (September 26) in London, England. She was seen filming scenes in what looked to be a meat truck, and there were lots of set pieces set up, including items written in another language. Emilia Clarke wasn’t the actress who played Daenerys Targaryen in the pilot for Game of Thrones and the actress who originally was cast has spoken out about being replaced.
The role was played by actress Tamzin Merchant in the show’s 2009 pilot and she was recast when the show was picked up by HBO.
Tamzin spoke out later year for first time about Emilia taking over the role and how she felt about losing the role, which became one of the most iconic characters in television history.

Emilia Clarke has received an apology after an Australia TV CEO insulted her appearance during a premiere event for the new HBO series House of the Dragon.
Patrick Delany, the CEO of Australian television company Foxtel, made a controversial comment about Emilia at the event.
Foxtel is the Australian home to Game of Thrones and the network hosted a premiere for the prequel series House of the Dragon this week.

Emilia Clarke is celebrating the opening night of her West End play The Seagull!
The 35-year-old actress posed alongside her co-star Daniel Monks during a photo call on opening night on Thursday (July 7) at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London, England.
Emilia is currently starring as Nina in a new version of Anton Chekhov‘s classic play. The production, directed by Jamie Lloyd, is playing through September 10.
Here is the synopsis: “A young woman is desperate for fame and a way out. A young man is pining after the woman of his dreams. A successful writer longs for a sense of achievement. An actress wants to fight the changing of the times. In an isolated home in the countryside where dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed, hearts broken and there is nowhere left to turn, the only option is to turn on each other.”
Emilia recently commented on the exciting Game of Thrones spinoff series that is in the works with her former co-star.

The 35-year-old actress, best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, was seen filming alongside co-star Kingsley Ben-Adir on Thursday (January 27) in Halifax, England.
Emilia‘s role on the series has been kept under wraps, but we know the show will focus on events after Captain Marvel, and will involve Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and a shapeshifter from the alien race known as the Skrulls (Ben Mendelsohn).
Disney+ is describing the series as follows: “The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.”
