Eva Longoria and her boyfriend of roughly four months, Ernesto Arguello, have broken up, according to TMZ.

The 38-year-old actress met Ernesto while she was producing the reality dating show Ready for Love, on which he was one of the bachelors. His relationship with his winner on the show fizzled out and things heated up between him and Eva soon after.

Eva and Ernesto were spotted just a few weeks ago holding hands while vacationing in Spain, but their busy lifestyles were reportedly taking a toll on their relationship. She spends most of her time in Los Angeles while he is based in Miami. While they are done for now, some sources don’t think it’s completely over and say “they’re just on hold right now”.

The 38-year-old actress and her guy were joined by a large group of friends for the day out on the town.

Eva is in town to attend the Global Gift Gala, which is set to take place on August 4.

Earlier in the day, the 38-year-old actress and her 34-year-old entrepreneur boyfriend did some house hunting around Los Angeles. Ernesto opened the car door and helped Eva get into their car. What a gentleman!

“Last day in sound booth for #MotherUp airing this fall on @Hulu!!” Eva tweeted that day along with a photo.

Mother Up is an animated series starring Eva as the voice of Rudi Wilson, “a onetime high-powered music exec who’s trying to adapt to suburban motherhood. One problem: she’s not very good at it.”

Eva Longoria celebrated her Fourth of July by confirming that she is dating Ready for Love contestant Ernesto Arguello so we want to make sure you are up to speed on the new man in her life!

The 34-year-old Miami based entrepreneur and philanthropist had a successful career as a civil and architectural engineer before starting an organization to help create functional safe housing for people in Third World countries, such as his homeland of Nicaragua.

Ernesto was one of the three contestants on the NBC reality show Ready for Love, which was executive produced by Eva. On the show, he ended up with former Miss USA Shandi Finnessey, but their relationship ended back in 2012 before the show even aired.

In his bio for the show, Ernesto says that he feels he has never really been in love and that his greatest wish is to have a relationship like his parents, who have been married for 38 years. Family is also important in his life and he loves kids, such as his eight nieces and nephews.

Eva Longoria has confirmed that she is dating Ernesto Arguello, a contestant from the show Ready for Love, which she executive produced.

“I think that’s why our relationship is so special – we truly started as friends,” Eva told People. While there were rumors the two were dating earlier this year, they were false at the time.

“I guess we have the press to thank for pushing us to see something we didn’t see!” Eva added.

“Happy to share NOW that it’s true! Couldn’t be happier..” Eva wrote on Twitter after the news was revealed. Ernesto replied saying, “Me too baby, I LOVE YOU!”
