Serena Williams looks stunning in a sheer black dress while on the carpet at the 2015 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall on Monday night (November 9) in New York City.

The 34-year-old tennis superstar was joined at the ceremony by ballerina Misty Copeland and the U.S. women’s national soccer team, including Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, and more.

During the event, Misty was honored at at the ceremony as “the showstopper” for her accomplishments in the American Ballet Theatre and her efforts to bring ballet to communities with little exposure to dance. The women’s soccer team was also honored that evening.

Serena, who was an honoree in 2014, took to the stage that evening to offer advice to young women.

“The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up. Make sure you’re very courageous: be strong, be extremely kind, and above all be humble,” she said.

Soccer player Hope Solo is seemingly throwing some shade at her former Dancing with the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The 35-year-old dancer was partnered with Hope, 34, in the 2011 season of the dance competition show, and recently called her a “sh�”ty person” in an interview.

Hope retorted by tweeting a photo of DWTS judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and judge Len Goodman holding up “1″ scores on their panel. Shade! See the photo below.

Maksim and Hope came in fourth place on the show.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has nothing nice to say about his former Dancing With the Stars partner Hope Solo, who he was partnered with during season 13 in September 2011.

The duo came in fourth place, but they did not get along throughout the season and Hope accused Maksim of slapping her in the face during a rehearsal.

When asked to play a game of “F–k, Marry, Kill” during an interview on the “Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss” podcast, Maksim was given his former dance partners as options.

“I would probably marry… somebody like, Misty May-Treanor was awesome. And she’s an amazing chick,” he said. “And I would definitely kill Hope Solo.”

“She’s just a sh�”ty person,” Maksim added. “People can be bad or good or whatever. You can have a sh�”ty life growing up. You can have a tough upbringing. You can have history. You can have whatever. But if you are just a bad person, you know what I mean? There’s no excuse for that.”

Olympic soccer star Hope Solo has taken to her Facebook account to discuss her nude photo hack, as well as her ongoing domestic violence case.

The 33-year-old two-time Olympic gold medalist, who was arrested after allegedly hitting her sister and nephew earlier this summer, wrote, “It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs. This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy.”

Hope continued, “In addition, while I understand that the public desires more information regarding the allegations against me, I continue to maintain my innocence against these charges. And, once all the facts come to light and the legal process is concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.”

Hope Solo was arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident on Friday (June 20) in Seattle, Wash.

The 32-year-old Olympic soccer player reportedly hit her sister and nephew during a family get-together at her home.

“There was a big party going on at her house. It was an out-of-control situation,” Kirkland police spokesman Lt. Mike Murray shared to The Seattle Times. “There were visible injuries on them.”

Hope is currently being held without bail on two counts of fourth-degree assault.

This is not the first time Hope has been linked with domestic violence, she was also involved in an altercation with her then-fiance Jerramy Stevens in 2012.
